Dynamic Nutrition Certificate Course Become a Dynamic Nutritionist (DynNC)
The Hahnemann College for Heilkunst offers a unique certificate program in Dynamic Nutrition that teaches the fundamentals of healthy eating and living based on natural law and principles. These laws and principles have only recently been discovered and developed in a systematic and rational manner. It is now possible to determine a diet based on certain clinically proven typologies that fit each person, taking into account their particular needs and bio-chemistry. These discoveries mean that much of current nutritional advice taught is no longer valid. One size does not fit all. We are unique in our nutritional needs and we now have the scientific basis to measure that uniqueness and to provide a dietary plan for health and fitness that matches it for each person.
At the same time, the study of nutrition must take place within a broader context of understanding of health and illness. The Hahnemann College program on dynamic nutrition provides this deeper understanding of human functioning and how nutrition affects us not only physically, but in terms of our mental-emotional life. Health and wholeness are not simply the absence of symptoms, but the development of a profound sense of soundness and well-being. Dynamic nutrition takes the practitioner and client beyond simply providing energy for activity and to protect against disease to understanding and promoting the vital connection between what we eat and what we think and feel.
Who is it For?
The Dynamic Nutrition Certificate program is a one-year, intensive study leading to the award of the DynNC. It is designed for those persons:
- interested in a career in natural health
- wanting to focus on the area of nutrition and health
- looking for a comprehensive, yet short and practical program
- seeking to begin a practice with a useful skill in high demand by the public
- looking for a learning experience that is exciting, scientifically-grounded and placed within a dynamic understanding of health and illness that deals with the body, mind, soul and spirit.
Career Opportunities
There is a strong and growing interest in nutrition around the world. People are confused about what is healthy and what is not. They are looking for clear guidance for themselves and their family. Graduates of the Dynamic Nutrition Certificate program can meet the increasing demand for nutritional guidelines that work and that take into account each person's different needs and requirements. Graduates can:
- set up their own successful nutritional practice
- work with other practitioners to provide more specific nutritional advice and counselling for their clients
- combine the Dynamic Nutritional Certificate with the HCH Dynamic Blood Analysis Certificate to offer a more comprehensive service on nutritional and health matters
Dynamic Blood Analysis is a natural and simple addition to a student of the Dynamic Nutrition program. It can be done concurrently or afterwards, as many of the foundation courses for each program are the same. Ask the Registrar for more details if you are interested in taking both programs.
Additional Study
In addition, you also have the option at any point of entering the second year of the three-year HCH Practitioner Diploma in Homeopathy and Heilkunst program, which will give you the ability to treat not only nutritional imbalances, but also chronic and complex disease cases.
Length of Study
The academic year is from September to June of the following year for those taking the program in-class. Courses are held on weekends, usually once to twice a month, with guided self-study in between. There are course assignments and final assessments of what you have learned. The emphasis is on understanding concepts and on gaining practical experience, not on rote learning or memorization. Concepts are set in an overall meaningful context of dynamic physiology and taught in a way that is fun, yet challenging.
There is a distance learning option for those unable to attend one of our in-class centers. Distance study can begin at any time. While the program can be completed in one year, study can be extended over a longer period if this fits the student's personal and work situation better.

Course Descriptions
Basic Principles of Dynamic Health and Illness
In this unit, you will learn about the foundation in natural law of dynamic health, and about the three main areas of any true medical system: therapeutic regimen, therapeutic medicine and therapeutic education. You will understand where dynamic nutrition fits into a dynamic approach to health and illness, and how it can be used effectively to support the other aspects to achieving optimum wellness and soundness. What you learn in this unit will provide you with comprehensive foundation and context for the rest of your studies. It will also give you the basis to communicate and work with other practitioners in the natural health field.
Dynamic Physiology
Dynamic Physiology I
You will learn the fundamental underlying principles of a dynamic approach to understanding anatomy and physiology including the dynamics of life energy, organ systems and the influence of external factors on health.
Dynamic Physiology II
Further study of organ systems and their interactions, showing the profound relationship between what we eat and how we feel, plus a dynamic understanding of the process of digestion and metabolism.
Dynamic Regimen I, II and III
These three units provide a comprehensive grounding in and understanding of the principles and application of the natural law of opposites to restore and maintain health and wholeness. You will learn about the history and underlying scientific principles behind various approaches to nutrition and other therapies that use the law of opposites according to natural principles.
Dynamic Regimen IV
An advanced study of nutritional typologies based on bio-chemical individuality and their application to specific cases, including the issue of supplements and exercise.
Dynamic Regimen V
A self-directed project on a particular topic related to dynamic nutrition that provides more practical knowledge and experience.
Basic Principles of Pharmacology and Pharmacognosy
You will gain the necessary knowledge of the bio-chemical workings of the main categories of drugs and herbs and how to assess their effects on overall health so that you can take these into account when assessing cases.
Drug-Herb Nutrient Interactions
Both drugs and herbs deplete nutrients in the body and these must be supplied to prevent a further deterioration in health. You will learn how to assess these depletions and to take them into account in your nutritional assessments.
Establishing and Maintaining a Successful Practice
Working for yourself is both rewarding and challenging. This unit will give you the basis for starting a successful practice on your own or with others, and providing for its continued growth and health.
Introduction to Dynamic Blood Analysis
Live-blood analysis viewed and analysed within the context of the principles of a dynamic understanding of health and illness provides a great deal of information about a patient's nutritional needs and reactions. This unit will give you the ability to understand a live-blood analysis done by a Dynamic Blood Analyst or other live-blood practitioners. It also serves as a basis for later integration, if desired, into the Dynamic Blood Analyst Certificate program.
